About dram
The dram is a unit of mass in the US customary system of units equal to about 0.001771845 kilograms (1 dr = 0.001771845 kg), the base unit of mass in the International System of Units (SI).
One dram (dr) is also equal to about 1.771845 grams (g) or 1,771.845 milligrams (mg) (SI units of mass), or 0.00390624 pounds (lb) or 0.0625 ounces (oz), which are US customary / Imperial units of mass.
Over time, various drams and variations on the drams have been recorded. Examples of dram units include:
