About decade
The decade is a unit of time equal to ten consecutive years. Commonly, the tens digit of the calendar year is used to represent a decade (e.g., "1980s" is used to represent the decade from 1980 to 1989); however, a decade may also refer to any period of 10 years.
0.5 decades correspond to one lustrum.
10 decades correspond to one century.
100 decades correspond to one millennium.
Plural: decades
